For more than four decades Popie has been involved in all aspects of the company, from working in the field during the summers when he was in school to daily management of the company today. Currently, he is Vice President of Preconstruction and is still actively involved in estimating, project management, and field supervision. Popie, a great grandson of the founder, has a degree in Construction Management from Northeast Louisiana University (1975) and joined J. B. Mouton as a project manager in 1976.
